Borton Fruit, one of the largest single growers of apples, pears and cherries in the United States, is the newest addition to the Hectre family and we’re super excited to be supporting them in their ongoing success story.

Serving up more than 450,000 bins of fruit each year, the Borton Fruit team are known for embracing the latest technology and innovation offerings, in their quest to provide only the very best fruit to their customers.

Along with subscribing to Hectre’s comprehensive, yet simple to use, orchard management software, other recent tech investments made by Borton Fruit include the opening of a US$40 million apple packing plant. The new plant enabled them to triple their apple volume throughput, whilst maintaining the same labour outputs.

With four generations of blood, sweat and tears poured into the Washington State based business, they’ve grown from their 1912 beginnings and 20 acre orchard to become a leading edge fully integrated business, with more than 6,000 acres of fruit farm. Pure glacier waters flowing from the Cascade Mountains combine with cool winters and warm summers to create ideal growing conditions for their apple, pear and cherry enterprise.

In 2017 Borton Fruit merged their marketing operation with Chelan Fresh, creating a dynamic sales organization with strong volume, exceptional product mix and industry leading commitment to service.

With more than a dozen varieties of crisp crunchy apples, four delicious pear varieties and both dark and yellow flesh cherries, the company packs between 7 million and 8 million boxes of apples, pears and cherries annually. WOW!

A huge Hectre welcome to the team at Borton Fruit!
