Enfield Farms

WA, USA

Located in Lynden, WA, Enfield Farms has been a part of the agricultural community since its establishment in 1977. Starting with just 80 acres of raspberries, the farm has since expanded to encompass over 1000 acres, now cultivating both raspberries and blueberries. This significant growth necessitated a modern and comprehensive farm management solution.

Enter Hectre, recommended by another satisfied customer in the area. They shared their positive experience with Enfield Farms, praising Hectre’s orchard management app for its robust features and simplicity.

The Hectre app provides a suite of modules, including Analytics Pro, Insights, Spray, and Timesheets. This powerful combination enables Enfield Farms to efficiently manage spray operations and track time, while also leveraging real-time data dashboards.

The Analytics Pro dashboard allows them to:

  • Monitor key metrics such as cost per acre and volume per acre.
  • Access performance data on a daily, weekly, monthly, or year-on-year basis.
  • Identify which blocks have the highest and lowest labor costs by variety, among other insights.

Lane Southern Orchards

GA, USA

Since 1908, this sprawling 11,000-acre orchard in Fort Valley, Georgia, has been home to some of the state’s finest peaches and pecans, with over 35 peach varieties and several pecan types.

Operating on such a grand scale presents unique challenges, especially when it comes to making informed decisions about packing and the marketability of the produce. To address this, they have adopted our Fruit Quality AI solution. Our mobile fruit sizing technology allows them to get instant size results directly from a smartphone or tablet.

Early sizing of peaches enables Lane Southern Orchards to optimize packing line configurations well in advance. This not only improves operational efficiency but also provides the sales desk with valuable early insights. These insights are crucial for forecasting and meeting market demands, ensuring that they continue to deliver the high-quality produce their customers expect from them.

Dasben

Spain

Dasben is a consortium of seed and stone fruit producers with fields located in Lerida and Murcia. Their main production includes cherries, apricots, nectarines, peaches, apples, and more.

This quite large operation required more informed decisions regarding the produce entering the packhouse before packing. Previously, incoming fruit was stored without any knowledge of its size profile, necessitating the opening of multiple storage rooms to fulfill sales orders.

Dasben has successfully deployed our Fruit Quality AI solution – Hectre Mobile Fruit Sizing and Hectre Top Down solution. Both technologies deliver accurate size and color results in seconds.

Now, they can better understand what’s in storage and make informed decisions for planning and sales.

Big Smile Peaches

SC, US

Generation after generation, the business has transformed from a modest peach orchard into a flourishing commercial entity, now covering over 4,300 acres. For more than 80 years, they have steadfastly maintained their core values.

The recognition of the importance of knowing fruit size early led them to Hectre. Thanks to the Hectre Mobile Fruit Sizing app, they are now able to get sizing results immediately after the fruit is picked. This advancement allows them to promptly inform their sales team about the incoming fruit, ensuring they can negotiate the best prices for their produce.

Agrocepia

Chile

Agrocepia, a leading Chilean company, specializes in producing and selling a wide variety of dehydrated products for the international food industry. The company prides itself on combining high-quality, safe products with excellent service to meet its customers’ needs.

Located in the Maule Valley, an agricultural area renowned for its favorable climate and fertile soil, Agrocepia is ideally positioned to produce high-quality fruits, primarily for export markets.

The decision to choose the Hectre Fruit Sizing app stemmed from their significant challenges in estimating fruit sizes upon receipt, which are crucial for all future commercial and productive processes. For Agrocepia, accurately measuring size takes precedence over color.

With the Hectre Fruit Sizing app, Agrocepia can now make more informed decisions for planning and sales, enhancing their operational efficiency and market responsiveness.
