Following the purchase of a 155 acre fruit farm in Alton, New York back in 1983, VanDeWalle Fruit Farm was born. Founded by the VanDeWalle family, the farm flourished from a 155-acre venture to an impressive 780 acres with a further 120 acres maturing over the next two years. Their apple varieties include Gala, Honeycrisp, and SweeTango.
As well as growing premium apples, since 1991 their Wayne County Fruit Sales packing house has also been packing their harvest, as well as packing fruit for neighboring farms.
With their growth over the years, they decided it was time to gain the power of Hectre’s Orchard Management Software. VanDeWalle Fruit Farm will be using Hectre’s Harvest, QC Performance and Timesheet modules, to drive efficiency and support their goals for continuous improvement.

With their recent acquisition by Hancock Natural Resource Group, David Del Curto S.A. continues to excel in delivering top-quality, fresh fruit to the global market.
The team at David Del Curto S.A. will be harnessing the advantages that Hectre’s Spectre AI suite delivers. Using Spectre Hand-Held and Spectre Top Down for their apples, pears, cherries and stone fruit, they’ll be capturing and accessing accurate fruit data at scale to further support their decision making and ongoing success.
